About Stephanie
These days I am a NASM- certified personal trainer in Montreal, Quebec.
But I used to be a fine dining chef for a James Beard nominated restaurant. Like most people, I love food. I have always taken food to heart. I, too, have struggled to turn down a bowl of ramen, pho, grilled korean bbq or a plate of fresh chilaquiles on a Sunday morning.
My love of food pulled me deep into the restaurant world—60-hour weeks under the relentless heat of the line, chasing perfection plate after plate. The days blurred together in bouts of adrenaline, exhaustion, and breaks behind the restaurant howling at the moon.
I learned the hard way that burnout and unrealistic expectations are the kryptonite of positive results.
Eventually, I exchanged the chaos and adrenaline of the kitchen for a 185 pound deadlift on a Monday morning. Traded walk-ins for long runs and bike rides by Atwater. It took some time, but not before long my journal was overflowing with scribbled recipes—meals built around protein, vibrant greens, bright citrus, and spices that colored the plate.
Through my internship at Studio Locomotion – a training studio in Montreal – I gained the necessary skills to fine tune philosophies in hypertrophy and body recomposition. In my tenure at the National Personal Training Institute, I grew the scientific background for muscle mass, nutrition calculations (macros and micros) and knowledge of recovery skills. I earned my NASM certification in personal training and nutrition coaching. A new chapter of my life has opened up, and it has allowed me to help other people turn the page in their lives.
Now, I work diligently with people from all walks of life to take back their power, regain their confidence, and own their strength.

Genesis Philosophy: Longevity Through Movement
Genesis is the lovechild of my research journey. It is a dynamic invitation to return to the origins of healthy movements and habits that used to be a part of everyday life – once upon a time.
Inspired by how people have moved and survived for millennia, Genesis Training Ground restores natural strength, mobility, and longevity through movement.
My program combines strength, mobility, and nervous-system training to build resilient movement patterns that support a longer, more capable life.
